The first playe is a rewriting of genesis, and the serpent offers adam and eve, who are immortal, offer them actually, birth as the compensation for the loss of immortality. And it's a play that is very much in favour of longevity,. A play that is a celebration of the wisdom that comes with old age. It's not clear whether it was a direct repast atclly. But it s a really interesting conversation between the two
