The Freedom of God

The Bible opens with a note of liberation, that a God who is free in their essence hears the cry of a people that are not. That's an important moment to start with in the Bible. To be created in the image of a God that is free means that the human person is meant to be free. And when we're not, there's something incongruent that captures, that engages the heart of the divine.
