The Establishment and Expansion of the Institute for Sexual Science

This chapter discusses the establishment and expansion of the Institute for Sexual Science by Magnus Hirschfeld in 1919. The Institute initially focused on scientific research and training related to sexuality and gender, but soon expanded to include marriage counseling, counseling for sexual identity and orientation, a medical facility, and a vast library on gender and sexuality.
