What was considered moral ten years ago might be immoral to day. There 're so many new words that we grew up saying. To day we can't say those things because, at least not in polite circles. And the definition of morality changes every decade. A lot depends on your circumstances. What's dominant morality back then? So what is it today? We may never get to know everything. The same with storical characters. They are contingent on what's happening around them. It's also contingent on their idea of good and bad. If you're genuinely believing you can't be moral or immoral - there will always be people who think otherwise. That's a right thing to do.
