The Nomos: A Pragmatic Picture
The book Sartre's Nausea is exactly a picture of someone going insane in this way. If you become too much in your own head and withdrawn from meaningful social interaction, then there's no constraints on the way you perceive things - it gets gross. All of that structuring that's done by Nomos structures our consciousness. That's where we get meaning from. It harkens back to Susser, right, where significations are a matter of establishing those linguistic differences.
