Are You Optimizing for the Future?

The current notion that we have in India, at least, is that we as parents cannot go and live with our children. The problem comes from the fact that we have always considered women to be doing that rather than making it an option between the two genders. Currently, you see your male child as an investment you're making because in your old age, you're going to go live with them or they're going to take care of you. So, if you begin with this notion of you are not a part of our family then you don't want to invest in that, right?
