Jim Rut: I think AI will be able to see patterns in these complex systems that we necessarily can't and so when you look at things like urbanization or economic organization. It's fascinating to think about how AI could take our understanding of complex systems in a very interesting direction. But for humanity to give up on understanding would be a gigantic mistake it would probably mean that we can't get much farther than we are.
