In both cases, fino says that his skin becomes a barrier for him to surpass. He has to put his skin on display or take it out of dis in order to appeal to his white the white people looking at him. The fear of blackness is largely incurable because it is always going to be enforced by the social setting that that dominates,. which is largely races.
