I always imagined that kind of like conservatives decry the invasion of French theory in the humanities in America, which is something you've probably heard for the past 30 years or so. I wonder if there was an analogous but reverse influx of analytic philosophy into French universities. Perhaps Deliz was decrying the stultifying effects of a kind of banal importation of maybe some of the worst aspects of analytic philosophy. But I can understand Deliz's objection to a cursory understanding of common language theory or everything. Because he's against communication, he's against conversation.
