The Effects of Investiture on Time Dilation
A magic system that does a specific thing like is probably reasonably efficient at doing that one thing. But even without a magic system, like investiture passively has certain effects such as time dilation. And so that it feels natural that you would need a lot more investiture to produce those effects than if you were like channeling a specific arcana in a specific way and nothing else. It's the same effect in the end, but mechanically might be something completely different.
