It's too soon to evaluate what this war means for culture, but one of the very striking things about it is the production of culture within it. I have colleagues who are still giving their lectures from where they are, right, in the trenches. And the production of poetry in other forms of culture goes on. So I'm just going to read you one more poem, please indulge me. This is from Yulia Musakovskha, who's a mom who works in IT. She wrote this in late March, 2022, for her collection, which is published under the title Iron. The metaphors withered and fell to pieces before they could bloom.
