The Difference Between Secularism and Militant Secularization

Militant secularism is the attempt to aggressively remove and even take punitive measures against faith communities because you don't like their religion. It's something that's done with a real aggressive animus against religion and people of faith in general. Not only secularism, I would argue, is a Christian creation; it's the way Christenden learned to live with religious diversity between Catholics and Protestants. Securism was also useful for when you've got a more globalistic world, immigration from everywhere. You've got Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and peoples of all faiths and none. It's a way that they can live together in harmony.
