I think the paradigm that says that our positions on things is a kind of binary, all or nothing. You know, I'm in the first group and then I listen to a podcast on charter schools which convinces me everything I thought was wrong. That's actually not the way it works. And sometimes you can only just kind of do your best with what you've got. It's okay if new knowledge arrives later showing that everything that came before is nonsense.
