LIBOR Transition - Is There Anything Hidden Too Much?

LIBOR was created for a reason, which is banks lend and borrow. The structure of the way banks borrow has changed. We have seen a decrease of interbank lending. I believe it's still a useful benchmark and that some credit sensitive derivatives lending will still exist. But in five years time someone will notice that ALM means asset and liability and that you have to match them. That we will go back to the 70s where LIBor was invented and we will notice again that it was useful.
