The future is perfectly capable of being very happy and very prosperous. We are in a better place than we were in 19 61 or 19 62, when when the united states and new s sar almost blew themselves upin a nuclear conflict. There's every reason to be rationally optimistic about the future. Don't listen to this new religion of environmentalism, because that's what it is. The comparison needs to be not against who someone else is to day, but who your grandparents were. That trend line can change your total o conclusion about where you are in life.

Marian Tupy and Gale Pooley found that resources became more abundant as the population grew. They also found that resource abundance increased faster than the population.
