Is Critical Theory a Meaningless Word?

I went to Brown University, and I was steeped in the civil rights era language that was then applied to other communities of color. There's been an evolution since then, where now, instead of arguing for a particular policy, you are now saying that all of the institutions are so irredeemably racist or sexist. You can't use liberal techniques to correct a structure that is stacked against these marginalized people. It's really those hidden elites that are stacking the deck using the language of equality.
