The Rivalry Between Haman and Mordecai
Haman and mordecai are rivals. Haman has been conspiring against the jews, specifically provoked by his anger towards mordicai. The honor suggested here is similar to the honor that pharaoh gives to joseph in genesis chapter forty one,. verses forty one, forty three. And they called out before him, bow the knee. Thus he set him over all the land of egypt.
