How Did You Come to Be a Singer Song Writer?
When i was about 15 16, my heroes were the great singer song writers. I didn't want to eke out a living singing in the back rooms of pubs or something. As i got a little bit older, i really loved other kinds of music as well. But one of the things that slightly annoyed me was that all the songs i loved seemed to be american. And so there was a point when i was trying to kind of very consciously do a kind of english version. So i remembered that became a kind of a challenge. You go up the motor way, you know, and you're walking down the pavement, not the sidewalk.
