The Importance of Indoor Plumbing
100 years ago only 1% of US homes had electricity and indoor plumbing. We have become so divorced from it, we aren't even aware that that's the natural state of affairs. Our lives are as good or in most cases better than the lives of royalty a century ago. I like to step back and look at how much we have relative to humans who came before us.
