Edison's Philosophical Philosophy

Some will call Edison's approach unscientific because you're supposed to have more theory-based hypothesis and all that stuff. We should point out that it seems like Edison very much was right and that the results in history are on his side here. Just because he was annoying about it or kind of thumbing his nose at people doesn't make him any less right. This was not some weird only Edisonian ideology a decade or two later when they were setting up what some people call the first industrial R&D lab the GE research laboratory Willis Whitney also came on very Edisonian ideals.
