What Is the Importance of Relativity?

Time on a g p s satellite is going 38 point four micro seconds per day faster. If you were not in the earth's gravitational well, our time runs at about 60 micro seconds a day slower. The speed drags time dilation one way by about seven micro seconds. But then general relativity, because a gravity, drags at forty five micro seconds the other way. So actually, time is going faster on the satellites than it is on the earth. And that doesn't make a difference where you are, because we're all the same distance from the middle of the gravitation at well.
