I think it might be easy to hear what we're saying and interpret a sort of like, oh, well, just, you know, shift into a mindset where embracing the shortness of life is a source of purpose rather than right. But it's one thing to say that and another thing to really live from that and grapple with that and the depths of experience. I've taken a lot of solace in books written by people who come out the other end of certain processes of existential questioning. And if St. Augustine and Kierkegaard can't and haven't ever fully reconcile themselves with these things, maybe you don't have to either.
