What Are Zero Unit Night Raids?
The zero units were squadrons of Afghan Special Forces, funded and trained by the CIA. They were joined on their operations by US Special Operations Forces also. And they were going after targets that were perceived as threats to the United States. These were counterterrorism operations and they were kind of pointed at Taliban first and in later years, ISKP also.
