The Differences Between Social Construction and Construction
The idea that ideas we come up with, whether in science or anywhere else, have some sort of human history. And so in so far as that history could have been different, then the ideas we used to represent the things in the world seems like they could be different. We've had lots of episodes in pragmatism that suggest that there seem to be different kinds of ways you could break down the natural world. That's that kind of social construction as opposed to how concretely individual societies shape the ideas that apply to human kinds.
