The Gaia Mission: 1,179 Unknown Open Star Clusters in the Milky Way
This week astronomers reported they found 1,179 previously unknown open star clusters in our corner of the Milky Way. By 2024 within a couple of years 2026 we could know if there are habitable worlds at Alpha Centauri.
