The moslem world was equally divided over what had happened wel absolutely. One of the things i think americans were very worried about in the administration after nine 11 was the possibility that er, the significant moslem community in the united states might harbor individuals who would carry out a tax and so on. And none of that ever happened. But you know this idea of a clash of civilizations seemed to offer a theoretical under pinning for the very real struggles that were playing out in world politics.
