Five Myths of American History
I am going to try to cover five myths that are part of your thinking. The first is the robber barren myth, in which heartless monopoly capitalists exploited the poor unmercifully and ground them beneath their heels. Second is a great depression myth, the myth that the great depression from 19 29 until the late thirties was produced by a failure of private enterprise. A third myth i want to talk about is the demand for government service myth. And the forth smith i am going to talk about was suggested by mister eccles in his introduction at a free lunch smith - there is such a thing as a free lunch.
