In the 19 seventies, a bunch of scientists got together to discuss the ethics of genetic engineering. To have made some early on ethical codes that they put together before there were going to be very big impacts from technology. And i think some of the norms from those have managed to stick around. But you do definitely see some experiments that ethinloial pretty dangerous, that aren't covered by those coats. So little hard to say how helpful was it actually, but seems at least like a good attempt o a tho one reason you might think to work on a is by this analogy to the industrial revolution. We've only had so many events in human history that seem as though they really changed
