I think Indians overall have valued non-violence and vegetarianism. There have always been, as far as I can understand, Indians in various parts of India here or there who have eaten meat. But when you say such things, it really offends people and people get upset. So my answer is going to be that I don't know. It's the civilization and culture that binds us together.
