The Different Phases of the Cell Life Cycle
A cell's life is divided into two major phases and to keep in mind these this is for eukaryotic cells or cells that have a nucleus. mitosis is somatic cell division so essentially this is the division of your somatic cells which are the cells that can go on to produce babies. In prophase the nuclear envelope breaks down chromatin condenses the centrosomes separate and the mitotic spindle is formed. The c2 checkpoint mechanism ensures that everything is ready to enter the emphase or mitosis.
