In every western country, and in many non western countries as well, we've had about one third more women than men graduate from college. But at the same time that that that this higher education genderam balance has become wider and wider, there has been a simultaneous increase what academics refer to as assorttive mating. A big theme of both datanomics and my new book, makeor move, is encouraging people to get past this and to be open minded about dating people with different educational backgrounds.
