The Origins of Gender Roles in the English Language

The first time we find in the English language is in the 1400s exclusively with grammar. There's no record of it in the medical literature before 1955 when Dr. John money introduced the term gender roles. He was promoting this idea that gender isn't just distinct from sex, It's it can be divorced completely from it.
