The Soviet Union and Cosmonots

Censorship of images in the soviet union continued for decades. For instance, there was a cosmonot named valentin bodarenco, and he died in 19 61 in a training accident. The government airbrushed him out of photographs of the first group of cosmonots. He had already appeared in publicly available photographs. So deleding the government controlled stuff just, if anything, fed the stories of lost cosmonats.
