Paul Sifaklurk's Unknown Life Trajectory
Alan's exposure caused a huge aftershock in British-US relations. It led to the UK becoming one of the five original countries to own a nuclear weapon. The Russians tested their first atomic bomb in August 1949, three years before the UK. Some historians even cite the Sifaklurk's defection and Alan's unmasking as the start of the Cold War.
