Psychobiological drive is to establish secure connection, sense of that there is a adult reliably available to provide us safety and a sense of protection. And throughout our developmental years, having a secure base alleviates abandonment anxiety. It regulates our nervous system and encourages exploration. We don't feel scared of our fear or our sadness or our anger. If you'd like to learn about all of the rich history of understanding the need for attachment visit www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/
