The Importance of Imaginary Numbers
Real numbers are the ones that we're usually pretty familiar with and 11 is a real number. Descartes was essentially just throwing some 18th century shade on this which is fine but you shouldn't get sidetracked by thinking of them as imaginary. It's going to take us a really long time if we go through all of them Adam. But look I mean zero is also a real number and minus 10 is areal number two so they're not quite just the numbers that you use to count you know blocks in your kids toy box.
