The Torah Does Not Validate Slavery

The Torah does not necessarily encourage slavery rather slavery was a pre-existing institution that existed in the ancient world and sometimes the Torah didn't want to abolish something because it would have been too much to go cold turkey so instead the Torah creates a system which at least avoids the brutality of slavery. One way of looking at it is the Torah does not validate slavery the Torah tolerates slavery by providing it in a more humane form but there's an alternative explanation which is not politically correct.
