Some of his pro sors pushed him to join the erb and help the american effort to create a nuclear bomb. So pat enlisted, got shipped down to oakridge, tennessee with his wife, laurie. Laurie patterson, she was also a scientist, brilliant chemist in fact, and also worked on the manhattan project.
