When he was in israel, vernon howell thought god was telling him he was a modern day cyrus. In any event, he returned to texas where he resumed his rivalry with george roden. To settle their rivalry, george challenged vernon to a duel of miracles, challenging him to raise a dead person back to life. So george exhumed a corpse for purposes of this challenge and Vernon reported him to the authorities for illegally exhuming a body.
