The Subject of Tonight's Show

If you listen carefully, you can hear me doing it. Reading is a process so commonplace and familiar that we barely give it a thought any more than we think about the enzymes in our mouths dissolving a custard cream. Our aim tonight is to make the whole thing seem much weirder and stranger and more remarkable. We're going to do that by approaching this activity through something that we tend to think of as a barrier to reading: dyslexia. As it's National Poetry Day, I'm now going to hand over to a poet, Debary Stevenson. S-E-N. Needs.
