The Effects of Meditation on Older Adults
We recruited a hundred and 20 healthy older adults. We randomize them to either o an eight wig minness programme or two brain games. And so as a eight wek class, and they practise forty minutes in class, and then they were told to go home in practice. And what we saw was that over the short term, both groups improved,. But over the next 12 months, the controls went back to base line - versus the meditation group continued to improve. It really does suggest that, yah, you know, it really can. It's not just preserving what got. It's actually enhancing what you've got.
