The Importance of Network Neutrality
There's a more familiar name for this from a more recent fight that was coined by an eminent Canadian who lives in America, Tim Wu. He used the term network neutrality to describe a phone company or an ISP that takes as its duty to serve back the data you request as efficiently as it can. Rather than giving you what its shareholders wish you'd asked for, it gives you what you asked for. That is not how social media or any other internet service works.
