Is Inflation Needing More Interest Rates?
Inflation is one of the biggest factors influencing central bank policy. We saw a 25 basis point rate hike from the Fed at their last meeting together with an indication that they expect to hike further. Our impression is they have lost some credibility last year, definitely so. So there still are on this fight to inflation despite they have moved already monetary policy into restrictive territory and as long as we watch that we have to expect further interest rate hikes.
