The Rise and Fall of Reconstruction
A lot of Reconstruction policies continue to stay in place until the last decade of the 19th century. It takes about two and a half decades. A lot of it has to do with African Americans still continuing to focus on voting. So this pretty clearly, I mean, reveals how very much Reconstruction was not something that failed.
