Is the Talaban a Good Example of International Law?
This isn't the first united time the united states has dealt with a situation like this, or its allies. International law says that at a certain point, there are certain rights that even if there's no recognized government, an entity that is in effective control of that territory should be consulted. I don't think many states, certainly allies of the united states, are likely to raise any serious concern about whether this complied with international law. But i think there is still space for observers who take a slightly more, you know, apply a higher bar to some of these standards.
