UEFA's Role in European Club Competition

UEFA have made their big move by reallocating the Euros to next summer. But is it now time that UEFA sort of step aside and let everybody else get on with their own matters? If they don't try and bring some coherence to this, then who will? Football is interdependent. Nothing exists in a vacuum in football. And if you let member associations start deciding for purely local reasons, what do we do about European club competition? I think it is actually it. It's very important for medium and small nations, mid-tier leagues. It does filter down. Even your Opa League money is hugely significant for lots of clubs.
