Chat GPTs are nowhere close to true artificial general intelligence, but they're clearly super duper good at mimicking intelligence. They don't know that they're making these very basic mistakes. So I think it is very important and will have huge ramifications for the future. But it's just very early days. The amount of progress that's going to be made is going to be considerable.
