The Diversification of Topics in Physics
I think in our field, big science needs to be done in industry because you don't have 10,000 GPUs at your disposal as a grad student. But the interesting thing about physics that I find is that there's all these smaller experiments that are still going on,. Like bounding the mass of the neutrino, which is one professor and some grad students. And so I think there's a lot of interesting research, both on the big science, as well as things that can be done at a smaller scale.
