Is There a Difference Between Positive and Negative?
The right wing is going to not just have negative Trump over positive, but deny that positive really plays a role in morality at all. Because if someone has a positive duty to help somebody in need, that means they have to give up something of their own in order to help that person in the need. And so that they see this conflict between the positive duty and the negative liberty,. They feel that the negative always trumps over the positiveSo that morality ends that, leave everyone alone, you don't have to help anyone, no one can make you help anyone. That's just the end of morality.
