Supreme Court Justices Are Part of the Republican Party Project
In previous eras, Supreme Court justices would sort of make their own decisions once they were on the court. The difference today seems to be that these justices are quite loyal to the party and have been overwhelmingly appointed by Republican presidents. "I see it more as both the Republican party and the court are part of this broader reactionary counter mobilization against the idea of making America into a multiracial pluralistic democracy," he says.
